Kobe Bean Bryant better known as Kobe Bryant is one of the most famous American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA) who is also known as Black Mamba. He was born on August 23, 1978 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. He entered the NBA directly when he was studying at high school. He has played for the Lahers in his career and has won five NBA championships. He is a 15-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, and 12-time member of the All-Defensive team. During his high school basketball career at Lower Merion High School he was recognized as the top high school basketball player in the country. He led the Lakers to three consecutive championships from 2000 to 2002. He scored a career-high 81 points against the Toronto Raptors, the second most points scored in a single game in NBA history, second only to Wilt Chamberlain’s 100-point game in 1962. In 2008 he was awarded the regular season’s Most Valuable Player Award (MVP). In 2009 and 2010 his performance helped Lakers to win two consecutive championships for which he also won the NBA Finals MVP Award in both championships. When he was 42 years and 104 days old he became the youngest player in the league’s history who reach 30,000 career points. He also has won the All-Star MVP Award four times 2002, 2007, 2009 and 2011, tying him for the most All Star MVP Awards in NBA history. He has also won gold medals in the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics as a member of the USA national team.
He married to Vanessa Laine in 2001.
